  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour melted butter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until combined. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix gently until just blended.
  3. Spoon the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly on top and carefully pour hot water over the mixture—do not stir.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and mostly set.
  5. As soon as it comes out of the oven, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the cobbler.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving with vanilla ice cream.
