Description

This Pineapple Upside Down Dump Cake is an incredibly easy dessert with just 4 ingredients. It’s buttery, caramelized, and bursting with tropical pineapple flavor. Perfect for quick desserts, potlucks, and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for decoration)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, for crunch)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the crushed pineapple (including the juice) evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the pineapple.
  • Add the maraschino cherries on top if using.
  • Evenly spread the dry cake mix over the fruit layer. Do not mix.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
