Description
This homemade peach lemonade is a refreshing and naturally sweetened drink made with fresh peaches, lemon juice, and a touch of honey or sugar. Perfect for summer gatherings, barbecues, or simply cooling off on a hot day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
- 4 lemons, juiced
- ¾ cup sugar, honey, or preferred sweetener
- 4 cups water (filtered or sparkling)
- 1 cup ice cubes (for serving)
- Fresh mint or peach slices (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: Peel, pit, and chop the peaches. Blend them into a smooth puree with ½ cup of water.
- Strain the Mixture: Use a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp for a smoother consistency.
- Juice the Lemons: Extract fresh lemon juice and strain out any seeds.
- Make a Peach Syrup (Optional): In a saucepan, heat sugar, peach puree, and 1 cup of water until sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
- Mix Everything: In a large pitcher, combine the peach syrup (or puree), lemon juice, and remaining water. Stir well.
- Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving over ice. Garnish with fresh mint or peach slices if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or honey to taste.
- For a fizzy version, use sparkling water instead of still water.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
