A quick and delicious no-bake dessert made with peanut butter, butterscotch, and chow mein noodles. Perfect for holidays, parties, or a sweet snack!
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 3 cups chow mein noodles
- 1 cup unsalted peanuts (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt (omit if using salted peanut butter)
- ½ cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Melt Peanut Butter & Butterscotch Chips
- Stovetop: In a small saucepan, melt peanut butter and butterscotch chips over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove once smooth.
- Microwave: Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
2️⃣ Mix Ingredients
- In a large bowl, add chow mein noodles and peanuts.
- Pour melted peanut butter mixture over them and stir gently.
- If using marshmallows, add them last and mix lightly.
3️⃣ Form Haystacks
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the sheet, shaping into small clusters.
4️⃣ Cool & Set
- Let them set at room temperature for 30-45 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes.
5️⃣ Enjoy!
- Once set, transfer to an airtight container for storage.
