For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or soft slider buns)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (cut in half)
  • ½ cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

For the Au Jus (Dipping Sauce):

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven & Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
  3. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.

Step 2: Layer the Sliders

  1. Evenly layer roast beef over the rolls.
  2. Add provolone cheese slices on top.
  3. Place the top half of the rolls back on.

Step 3: Make the Butter Topping

  1. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the sliders.
  3. Sprinkle poppy seeds if using.

Step 4: Bake the Sliders

  1. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove foil and bake another 5-10 minutes, until golden brown.

Step 5: Prepare the Au Jus Sauce

  1. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour into small dipping bowls.

Step 6: Serve & Enjoy

  1. Remove sliders from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  2. Slice into individual portions and serve warm with au jus for dipping.

  • For extra crispiness, lightly toast the bottom rolls before assembling.
