  • 2 packages (28 oz each) Little Smokies sausages
  • 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Variations

Spicy Buffalo Little Smokies

  • ½ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Grape Jelly BBQ Little Smokies

  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Honey Garlic Little Smokies

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Stir until fully blended.

Step 2: Add to Slow Cooker

  • Place Little Smokies into the slow cooker.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the sausages, ensuring they are fully coated.

Step 3: Cook

  • Low heat: 2-3 hours (recommended for best flavor).
  • High heat: 1-1.5 hours if short on time.

Step 4: Stir Occasionally

  • Stir every 30-45 minutes to ensure even coating.

Step 5: Serve

  • Once the sauce has thickened and the sausages are heated through, switch the slow cooker to “Keep Warm”.
  • Serve with toothpicks, slider buns, or over rice for a heartier option.

Notes

  • Thicker Sauce: Remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow extra moisture to evaporate.
  • Spicier Version: Add hot sauce or crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Make-Ahead Tip: Cook the sausages, let them cool, and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
