Description

Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders are the epitome of comfort food, delivering a delightful combination of juicy steak, sweet caramelized onions, and spicy jalapeños, all encased in soft brioche rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef sirloin
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 12 brioche slider rolls
  • cowboy butter (homemade)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper and allow it to rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Caramelize the sliced onion in a non-stick skillet using 2 tablespoons of butter until golden brown (25-30 minutes).
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook seasoned steak in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  5. Assemble sliders by layering brioche roll bottoms with melted cowboy butter, sliced steak, jalapeños, cheese, and caramelized onions.
  6. Top with roll tops, brush with remaining cowboy butter, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
