  • 3 refrigerated pie dough rounds (from 2 boxes)
  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp cold water
  • Sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Allow the pie dough to come to room temperature.
  3. Prepare an 11×16 rimmed baking sheet by spraying with nonstick cooking spray or lining with parchment paper.
  4. Roll out two pie dough rounds into a rectangle slightly larger than the baking sheet (about 12×17 inches) and transfer it onto the sheet.
  5. Press the dough into the corners and edges of the pan.
  6. Pour both cans of cherry filling over the crust and spread evenly.
  7. Roll out the third pie dough round and cut out star shapes using a cookie cutter.
  8. Place stars on top of the cherry filling.
  9. Mix egg and cold water in a bowl; brush over crust and stars, then sprinkle with sugar.
