  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch or baking powder
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying, if applicable)

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • ½ cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar (optional for mild sweetness)

Instructions

For Fried Buffalo Wings:

  1. Pat dry the wings with paper towels.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Fry wings in batches for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Drain excess oil on a wire rack.
  6. Toss wings in warm Buffalo sauce and serve immediately.

For Baked Buffalo Wings:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  3. Toss wings with seasoning and baking powder.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Toss wings in Buffalo sauce before serving.

For Air Fryer Buffalo Wings:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season wings and arrange them in a single layer.
  3. Air fry for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes.
  4. Toss wings in Buffalo sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, let them air-dry in the fridge for 1 hour before cooking.
  • For milder wings, reduce the amount of hot sauce and add more butter.
  • For extra heat, increase the cayenne pepper or add chopped habanero.
